Cut a small hole in whatever blocking material you are using. You must seal all incoming light from the room for the best results. For 3D room obscura, simply cut an identical hole the same distance apart as your eyes, and affix a pair of anaglyphic 3D glasses to the blocking material. The hole acts as a lens much like a camera or eye. Light rays are reflected off every point outside the window, and in turn projected onto walls and surfaces opposite the window.
