Monkey Island 2 Special-Uber Edition

MONKEY ISLAND 2's gorgeous hand-painted background art deserves a special treatment if LucasArts decides to go forward with a Special Edition of "LE CHUCK's REVENGE"! This demo shows how a remake of everyone's favorite zombie pirate adventure might look using advanced techniques to enhance resolution, detail and overall image fidelity while staying true to the original art and style. This was done for fun with a basic camera projection usually used in movie visual effects to enhance the original scanned 2D concept art (which had a resolution of 700x524). Next step might be to get the 3d scene ready for real-time usage in CRYengine 2/3 :) For more info: www.loneclone.de

Monkey Island 2 in 3D using Cryengine
Monkey Island 2 in 3D using Cryengine Video Clips. Duration : 5.18 Mins.
This video is an experiment done for fun. It demonstrates how original Monkey Island 2 backgrounds look and feel in a modern 3d game engine. The sets were built using Maya and then exported into Cryengine's Sandbox editor. This is a followup to my other Monkey Island 2 videos that showed how to "convert" 2d concept art into 3d scenes using camera projection techiques.
