Sprint announced the HTC EVO 3D today CTIA Wireless in Orlando and we go hands-on. HTC EVO 3D is America's first 4G smartphone with a 4.3 inch 3D QHD display that allows users to capture, record and playback in 3D -- without having to wear 3D glasses. It has the latest version of HTC Sense and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. There's also a 1730 mAh Lithium-ion battery. On the back of the HTC EVO 3D are dual 5 megapixel cameras, to capture 3D video and images and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. There will be access to 3D version of Blockbuster OnDemand app with access to 2D and 3D movies, TV shows and games for rent or purchase and download. There's a 4GB Internal memory/1GB RAM; An 8GB microSD card is included, but the device supports up to 32GB.

The HTC EVO 3D is a 3D-enabled Android smartphone that's compatible with Sprint's 4G Now Network using WiMax technology. It features an all new version of HTC Sense UI, the Android OS, a glasses-free 3D experience, and dual-cameras on the rear to capture both images and videos in 2D and 3D. Videos can be played back on an HDTV in 1080p (2D) or 720p (3D) via DLNA or HDMI connections.

We take a first-hand preview look at the AT&T LG Thrill 4G, which is the AT&T version of the LG Optimus 3D that we've previously played with at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. The Thrill 4G uses a Tegra 2 dual-core processor and stereoscopic 5-megapixel cameras to record 3D photos and videos in full 720p HD resolution. It also has 3D gaming capabilities. Add in the fact that it doesn't require glasses to view 3D images, and you've got a winner on your hands!
